Soul Of Communication
As a future leader in the
workplace, I find that the ability to convey my thought and vision clearly is an
essential skill to possess. Top level management must be able to share their
vision with others such as employee or potential client with a clarity of
thought, provide rationale reasoning and to develop coherent argument.
Based on the article “Critical
Thinking: Soul of Effective Communication” billions of dollars are lost due to ineffective
communication. As a leader, it is not
enough that we communicate effectively to our subordinate, we must ensure that
interaction between employee is carried out in a clear and concise way,
training intervention have to be structured in a way that it touches the core
of communication.
For a leader to gain the respect
of their subordinate or client, we must be able to build our thoughts, evaluate
our decision and choose the correct choice of words. This is essential for
leaders to get their message clear and across to the other parties and eliminate
any chances of miscommunication.
